I can think of four nominees. Maybe you know more.

1. Late 90s SEC East: Florida, Tennessee, Georgia
2. 2000s Big 12 South: Oklahoma, Texas, Texas Tech
3. Late 2000s/early 2010s SEC West: Alabama, LSU, Auburn
4. Modern-day B1G East: Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan, Michigan State until last year

The Big XII South was awesome but the North was so shite. Leach never got that title but they were miles ahead of even CU for a few years.

Late 2000s/early 2010s SEC West and it's not even close. SEC West teams made six national championship game appearances from 2009-2013. 11 SEC West teams also finished in the top 10 over that five year time span. Those feats will never ever be matched again.

Maryland is also an improving program. Great division this year.

4 and 2 don't even compare to 1 and 3, imo.

The SEC West of 2009-2013 is by far the winner.

Pretty much a string of national championship wins and appearances, Heisman winners, Heisman finalists, spread across three different programs (four if you count A&M and Manziel)

And teams like Arkansas and MSU were pretty solid in those days as well.
