I seem to remember the NFL doing an annual preseason game in Tokyo in like the early-mid 90s

Imagine the uproar if this was done to Premier League matches.

those club fans have way more power and influence than american sports fans. remember the 'super league' the american owners tried to form in europe? they were forced to cancel and issue an apology after fan outrage.

They need a franchise in Macau to be the Raiders main rival

Google says there were 14 preseason games played in Tokyo between 1976 and 2005.

Should do it in Jerusalem considering many of the owners.

I’m sure it’s very safe for the players.

They used to have something called the American Bowl. I distinctly remember the Cowboys and Lions playing to a 13-13 tie in Wembley Stadium in the early 1990’s. Also, the Cowboys and Oilers played in Azteca Stadium in the slop. That game probably wouldn’t even get played today with those field conditions. It’s amazing what you remember as a kid.

14 hour flight. Massive time difference. Players won't be tired at all.
