Depends who I'm playing with. I go with one friend and we usually cheat pretty bad. We are just both practicing though and will rehit most terrible shots or kick it if we have an unplayable lie.
I have another regular group in Athens though and we usually play by the rules. Difference in scores is from about a 105 to a 97 or so when I'm cheating.
Although, I do cheat in the sand usually though. I'm better now, but not too long ago it would take me about 4 tries to get it out of the sand and that's an auto quad bogey pretty much.

Funny you mention this. Another friend of mine who once played with my playing partner now got into an argument on every hole with him. Said he'd slice three out of bounds, then when counting the strokes he'd say he was hitting his second or third shot off the tees. The other friend refuses to play with him now.
See I figure, if it's not for money or competition and they wanna cheat, who cares
