I don't have a single hole in particular but any approach/par 3 where there's water on the right side with a cross wind. I tend to hit a fade and if I try and compensate, seems like I always over compensate.

One example is #5 at Oak Harbor in Slidell. Don't know the yardage off the top of my head and depending on the tees being played plays to a mid-long iron. It has water all along the right and faces west so there's usually a wind coming off the lake that wrecks havoc with me.

I'll take y'all way back in time and say the old #5 hole at City Park before it was redone. Damn dogleg over the canal that, if you hit too long, would leave you blocked out by the big oak tree.

Cross wind or not, that one is just one of the most intimidating holes a weekend golfer like myself will every play. Especially for someone who is good at missing right.

Several holes at pel pt lakes course - how can you hit some of those greens. Santa Maria no. 15 par 5 never seem to score well and no. 16 always hit it right off tee box - this past weekend used a 5 iron off the tee and a 6 iron for the approach and two putted for par - so that's the new strategy on this hole.

I draw the ball. Can not cut it with control.

Locally I would go with #5 on the Mill at Chicopee Woods. Its a 247 yard Par 3. I can get a 3 wood there it is just tough to land the SOB.

I play there once a week. Live very close to Chicopee.

How about 11 at royal lakes? Haha.

Same here. Plus the afternoon rate on the weekend is almost impossible to beat. 9 on school isnt my exactly my favorite either.

Number 11 is a par 5 with a island green. You basically have a very small landing area with water down the left the entire fairway, The water then crosses the fairway about 225 out. You have to lay up in front then hit a 175 yard shot to another small landing area before hitting 135 to the island green..

Now I remember. Its usually 7 iron, 8 iron and then a PW for me. That hole is miserable. But Royal Lakes isnt as cheap as Chicopee which is why I dont play there that often. Just wish some of the people that play Chicopee would repair their divots on the green. I mean seriously, its like putting around sand traps some times.

i have a special disdain for all of them during different rounds.

#8/#17 (9 hole course) can be a bitch. long par 3, elevated tees, elevated green, left drops down 5- 30 feet (depending on how far left you go), back of the green drops further, two traps in the front.

#10 on Copper Mill drives me crazy.

I think #10 at Sherwood (and most holes at Sherwood) can DIAF.

Copper Mill #12. I have to hit Driver, 3 wood, 3 wood just to get close to the green. Water left. Woods right. 612 yards. I'm about a 20+ handicap so this hole kills me. My best on this hole is a double bogie. I know I suck at golf.

I've yet to play copper mill from the tips but #4 scares me if I ever do

That's a long as frick carry just to the fairway

The second shot on that hole is not very easy either, fairway has some trouble areas

I want to say it's #6 at LaTour. Extremely awkward to me for some reason. I had to resort to just hitting 3 iron so I'd find the fairway.

18 at Hombre in Panama City, just because of something that occurred there.

#8 at Falcon Point in Katy. Easy as hell hole, but I can't play it for some unknown reason.

All 18 holes at Houston National

There's more holes I think are just awful, but those are what I've got off the top of my head

Any par 3 at a public course that tries to creep toward 250 yards. A course in Pearland does this.

The US Open IS NOT COMING!!!

I think it is stupid that the PGA/USGA has these holes on their courses. That is why I love holes on tour like Sawgrass #17 and MEmorial had 2 par 3's that were under 175 that were giving the pros fits.

A par 3 over 220 yards to me is just stupid and shows lack of imagination or laziness on the part of a course designer.
