Playing in tournaments I've had guys ROUTINELY lie about their score. Typically the other 3 of us stare at each other like and correct the liar.

Had a great first three holes, probably the best I've ever played, then absolutely fell apart and finished with a 107

Still only gotten under 100 once

Yeah, but I mean it wasn't like we were being secretive about what we were shooting. We were complimenting each other on shots, putts, birdies, everything, so you would think they would know about what we shot, but then they pull this. I guess it probably pissed them off that they choked and we were keeping both scores, so they just wanted to make us wait... I'm new to tournament golf, so I seriously don't know if this is common.

O, and I'm pretty sure they teed one up in the fairway, but it was on the hole they choked so whatever. We were like 60 yards away watching and the dude leans down, sets something down, sticks his thumb down right in the same spot, then puts his ball down in the same spot, and hits the most crisp sounding fairway wood I heard all weekend, then they proceeded to chunk two chips and run the other 30 ft by the hole and 2 putt.

Wasn't saying you were cheating. Saying their attitude doesn't surprise me. Etiquette isn't strong even in tournaments I've found.

. So we kept our score and their's, not really to make sure they weren't cheating.

If it's a decent tournament and not just a goof off charity deal, you should be keeping the official card of someone else in the group, and they keep yours

Saw a guy on the driving range before we tee'ed off wearing one, it was probably about 11:45.

I'm going to play Moody this summer at some point

Yeah, I know. I was just saying what we were doing.

Yeah, I didn't know that. This is the first tournament I played that wasn't a charity deal... I guess them and my teammates should have said something, but whatever, I got paid.

Pretty terrible considering how I played the previous weekend. Played a course that redid their greens last year; and while they are nice, they weren't receptive to the ball at all. Trampoline bounces on every shot and no one could get a ball to stop no matter the spin.

Also played with a guy that I watched hit at least 6 balls off the tee OB into peoples yards. Myself and the other player(there were only 3 of us) saw his shots go over the trees and in some cases heard them hit roofs a street over, yet this guy routinely "found" his ball. One two occasions he ended up playing from the middle of the fairway, saying he got a good bounce off the tree. By the end of the round I had let that get the best of me.

Yep, I played the first two holes and noticed it; reached in the bag and switched from the Callaway I was hitting to a brand new Pro V hoping I could possibly get a little more spin with that ball...nope. Asked the pro at the turn if they'd redone their greens, and he said yea last year. I said "oh really, they look like they're in great shape" went and got an Arnold Palmer and walked back to the cart . Sucks too, I hit several really good irons into the greens that should have left me with at worst at 10' putt. On these greens they all rolled out to at least 20'.

Just started to play routinely last summer (routinely for me was like 6 rounds in 2 months - dont have much free weekend time). Football season - there was little to no time. Finally got back out there on Friday at Audubon. 40 on the front and 45 on the back. For me it was one of if not the best round I've played. Definitely hit the best shot of my life this weekend though - 4th hole, par 3, 125 yards. Stuck a wedge shot 6 inches from the hole. That shot single handedly gave me the itch to play more. Wish I had that shot on video

I don't play on weekends. Too many foursomes slowing me and my partner down. Will play tomorrow. My scores are horrible but I'm growing especially fond of my 9 iron. Hell, I'm starting to use it from 200 yards out just because it does right by me in distance and direction.

Any of you guys in love with one of your clubs?

Shot (42&42) 84. Had (2) tripples and (3) 3-putts. Hit the ball about as well has ever though.
