I have some great Cleveland Wedges I bought used...52 & 56 and a new 60 received for b-day. Go with your personal feel. The Mizuno's feel really good too...my son plays them...53, 56, 60. My brother plays Wilson's...50 and 55. Go with what feels good for you at address and swing.

On the topic of wedges, it appears most of you are Cleveland guys like myself. They have a ridiculous custom website where you can pretty much make any type of wedge you would like. You pay an arm and a leg for it, but they are some fine clubs.

After playing Clevelnad wedges for the past 10 years, in February I switched to Scratch wedges. Best wedges I've ever played.
I have a 53 degree with 14 degrees of bounce and a 58 degree with 10 degrees of bounce.

I actually have a dilemma at the moment with my bag. I have 14 clubs, but I have nothing between my 3W and my 4 iron. I am contemplating a 5W, but I need to consolidate my wedges first.
I have a PW and an AW from my TaylorMade R11 set that are cavity-backed and 45* and 50* respectively. On a full-swing, I am about 135 and 120 yards respectively. I also have 52*, 56*, and 58* Cleveland CG15s which I use for 110, 95, and 80 yards. I am thinking about picking up the 55* SW R11 for 100 yds and then adding a 60* wedge for 70-75 yds, probably the 588 Cleveland. I would then have a 45*, 50*, 55*, and 60* set-up. Anyone think that is a good route?
Note: This is not some OT bullshite. I am a 13.5 handicap. My strength is my distance with relatively good accuracy. My weakness is definitely my wedge game from 110 and in, particularly when I am not taking a full swing.

: hijack :
I'm just getting (back) into golf. I picked up a set of Ping Eye 2 Black Dot steel shaft 3-PW+SW+LW at a garage sale this weekend.
For $25.
I just wanted to buy the wedges, but he made me buy them all.
My "current" irons are King Cobra 3100 I/H graphite (which I also got from a garage sale.
).
Are the Pings or the Cobras better beginner irons (especially for a TERRIBLE beginner like me)?

To answer the OP, I have a Cobra PW and a Ping SW and LW. Don't know the degree of any of them.
