re: Golf wedges, whats in your bag?

can you have too many wedges. I have been having trouble with about a 50-70 yard shot. Used to control a 50deg at that distance pretty good but just can't figure it out now. I now have a 50, 54,58(for that gap), 60

My 50,54, 60 are cleveland because I left two of my pings at a course and never got them back. It was right when the new tour-s pings were out and they were like $130 ea and I think I paid 175 for three clevelands. I rotate between a cleveland/ping 54 becasue I like the lower bounce on the ping. The new 58 is a ping with the price drop and when they go down to about $70-$80 I'll go back to all pings.

I loved my Vokeys but switched to Ping Anser wedges (54,58) a few months ago

I feel like i had better touch around the greens with the Vokeys, but overall i hit the Pings better

I've got a Taylormade club with a 'P' on it but don't know anything about degrees. It's a shitty club. So, today I was playing Northwood and my ball landed 6 inches from the lake in front of the green at a down slope of 45 degrees.

Partner: If you try that shot, it's going into the water.

Me: Yep, but it's an old ball and I don't care. However, I used my 9 iron because the P club has been talking shite about me in the bag. I hit a line drive through heavy cabbage. The ball skipped over the lake twice and landed two feet from the hole.

And if you think I'm a liar, I shot a friggin' 120 for the round.
