I need a new wedge. I have an old 60 degree that I don't care for, so I find myself always using the sand wedge that was included in my iron set to chip around the greens. I need something with a little more loft. Do yall swing a 58 or 60 degree? My sand wedge is 56 degrees if that helps.

If your SW is 56*, I would say 60*. Most people keep the standard 4* gap between wedges.

Seve Ballesteros . "No need 60 degree, just open 57 a little bit."

I'm just gonna assume Seve was better than the OP at golf

I have a 68 and can swing that SOB all I want and it just creates the perfect flop shot. Fantastic club for around the greens at the U Club.

I haven't tried to calculate my handicap. I consistently shoot low 90s, and upper 80s on a good day. I hit my irons fairly well, just can't drive it or putt it.

I use a 60 degree for almost everything around the green, but I like to fly the ball closer to the hole. Some like to get the ball started on the ground sooner and let it run - to each his own.

Regardless, there's not too much difference between a 58 and a 60. They are both lob wedges. Go for the 60- you can pull off more epic flops with it

I think I might go with the 60. I find when I try and ease up so I don't fly it past the hole I will chunk it. I like the idea of being able to still swing the 60 and have the ball only travel 5-10 yards in the air.

Any recommendations for a 60 degree under $100?

True. But I also think the average golfer does not need a 60. And it has potential to get them in trouble.

I carry a true PW. 48 degree and a 57 for flops and bunkers.
