Fennwood Hills has the best greens in Zachary hands down.

Carter plantation in springfield probably as good as all reasonable priced and worth the drive

Island was bumpy Wednesday due to punching. I played there 3 weeks ago and they were in really good shape especially for the time of year.

Was LSU's crap cause of aeration or just in bad shape? Been a while since I played there...few years ago their greens were always above average.

I've heard few reports that Santa Maria is a shell of its former self. Anyone can validate this claim?

Hard to keep a course with that much play and two floods in the last year in excellent shape.

Played the Island on Thursday. Greens still pretty darn bumpy from aeration. Still a couple of weeks away.

Couldn't agree more. Fennwood's greens are as good as anywhere around.

Beaver Creeks greens are not good, contrary to other reports. Too much Poa Annua all over the greens. They have a ways to go. The rest of the course is good though.

Greystone gets close to the same amount of play and also has dealt with the flooding issues and it's in great shape. The condition issues with the BREC courses are a reflection of the leadership at BREC. It starts at the top....and they are lacking. It's gotten progressively worse over the last few years. It's a shame, b/c you've got some quality golf courses managers at the BREC courses....they get 0 support and direction.

Haven't been on Beavers in a while. Fennwood - best in the area. Copper Mills are terrible. I was told they cut them too low and the freeze did them in. No idea if that's the case. Anyway they have gotten better over the last month but they are still not good. They started re sodding parts of certain greens last week.

I've never liked Santa Maria but I played it last week and it seems same as it ever was.

Just played the Bluffs last Saturday and the greens there were fantastic.

Top 3 I've played on in Louisiana.

I know someone who basically dropped out of a tournament there a few weeks ago because the greens were so terrible...

Again, Greystone's greens are in fantastic shape. But they just had their member/guest tournament so they'll be punched very soon.
