Goat ranch last time I was there.

Oak Harbor in Slidell was decent back in the fall. Carter Plantation is a decent choice as well. Possibly Belle Terre in LaPlace.

I play Cypress Lakes each week as part of our work league. The greens are a little rough but very playable, rest of the course is in good condition. If you've never played it you might want to bring the skycaddie or other GPS, there are some hazards that are tough to see from the fairway. Good value right now.

Don't know for a fact but I was told Belle Terre is in bad condition right now.

Grand Ridge (Old Willowdale) is in good condition and very affordable. Just be sure to drive straight with all the trees out there.

My brother has a connection where I can get on TPC Louisiana for around $45. I have taken advantage of that deal a couple of times and probably will ride over in the next few weeks and play there for about that much then.

one of the few places i've played where driving a ball down the middle of the fairway is still hard to find....which doesn't happen much...the driving down the middle part...

Not like that anymore, they're finally fixing things up again. New ownership is doing the right things.

Audobon Park is a nice little course that is way overcrowded and has some of the rudest people you will ever meet on a golf course.

Never happened to me. It is usually full up, that's for sure. But it is also a majority short-hole course, so you can expect it to look that way. And the waits aren't long at all.

Try Stonebridge

27 holes of golf. If you reserve with golfnow it comes with lunch.

This is true, played there a couple of weeks ago and the greens were horrible then. That was back when we were getting some rain. I can imagine what they look like now with this heat wave. I would hit TPC or Lakewood
