People get so blinded by their hate for GSW that they forget they had the GOAT regular season.....without KD on their team

no, it does not.

this team is much, much better at basketball than those old celtics teams.

In 40 years there will be a team who would run this warriors team off the court. Advances in technology and science and evolution of the human species will always favor the most current version of athletes. If that’s what we’re talking about this thread is literally pointless

Also if we aren’t talking success relative to peers, how do you substantiate the claim that they’re the “greatest sports team ever”? They aren’t playing against the Yankees or Patriots

Those Celtics teams would not be able to stay within 50 of these Warriors squads.

Not hyperbole.

I’m well aware of that due to evolution.

But you don’t get to say you are the best ever regarding accomplishments regardless

I just can't stand the "they ruined basketball" crowd.

This isn't Miami "backdoor paycut discussions"... The way Golden State built this run was as organic as they come.

Well, duh. The teams they play are better than the ones the Celtics played. That's the point. You can't compare across eras like that.

Watching Draymond defend Jordan on the iso would be fun. Jordan got to practice against Pippen and said nobody on any other team could defend him as well. Draymond is probably the closest thing we've seen to Pippen as a defensive player since. Two huge guys with length that can defend 1-4 and be left on an island on the perimeter.

Lebron can defend 1-5 but he's not as good as those two in one on one situations on the perimeter IMO. Scottie Pippen made perimeter defense beautiful. Dude would rip people effortlessly and step in passing lanes you thought he was a mile away from.

GSW is the best NBA team ever assembled.

1996 Bulls sweeps them

Ill play this game. Mj shuts down Steph. KD vs. Pip might be a wash. But who in the hell is guarding Klay? Rodman was older so I don't think he could guard Draymond grabbing a board and pushing it up court. Toni vs Iggy would probably be a wash as well. Klay might be the x-factor here. I am a child of the 90's so I am inclined to pick the Bulls, but it isn't that crazy of an argument to have.

It has nothing to do with hate (which has become the laziest argument ever btw) I’m just not a prisoner of the moment they are a great team but they haven’t even won back to back titles yet. I wouldn’t even concede they are the best NBA team this century and they are not even the greatest “dynasty” this decade

Klay is definitely the x-factor. And that's assuming Curry doesn't start draining shite over Jordan from the logo.

I think the Celtics of Russel were the best ever assembled compared to their peers

They don't need to do any of this to be the best team of all time. People talk about the 96 Bulls or 86 Celtics in their respective seasons. This GS team or last year's team is simply next level.

You're seriously try to argue that the Heat were more dominant in their back-to-back run?

So hard to compare given the size of the league.

That's the ultimate goal of any team, build a foundation in the draft and then sign a big name. As a Pels fan, I would take their situation in a heartbeat, as would you and every other fan of their respective NBA team.

oh no doubt. In that same position, as much as I dislike LeBron, would I say no to him or a player of his caliber as a Pelican? of course not.

I liked the way the Warriors team came together, I hated them when KD joined. It seemed like the biggest wimp move on the planet. Since he's joined, Golden State has flopped and flailed more, complained a lot more, and become more arrogant. but of course im also pissed because they are now too good

Not really my argument, just observing what people write. I see more "i freaking hate golden state" type posts every year. Not unexpectedly, given their success.

I’m just not a prisoner of the moment

Neither am I. My opinions regarding them have been formed over the past few years, not just this year or this playoffs or something. Their body of work is ridiculous at this point.

"Yet." Because you see the writing on that wall
