Wife’s family are huge Cubs fans and it’s a family trip for a couple games. We are staying at the Hotel Zachary and have reservations at Dutch and Doc’s tonight.
Any “must do”s in the Wrigley Ville area? Looking for good place to grab drinks after dinner or before the game today. There seems to be a ton around there so figured you all would be a good source.
Sitting in section 109 in the 5th row so keep an eye out for us.

Murphy’s bleachers.
I came here with some friends that are Cubs fans. Had a huge steak at Bavettes last night. I’m still glazed over from the steak and wine. Hitting Murphy’s before the game to get correct. This town is so sweet to visit.

Go to upper deck and there is a outside seating area that you look at city from. They have concessions and beer up there as well. Beautiful view. Also, go to Murphy’s behind the outfield and order a 312 and take in the vibe before the game. The polish sausage with grilled onions are awesome and a hot dog all the way is a cant miss. For the hell of it, order a Old Style. But just 1, then hit the 312 in the ballpark. Catch batting practice if you can. Take it all in and stay after until they tell you to leave. Make your way to the very bottom after the game, take pics etc... been countless times and besides Tiger Stadium its my fav place on earth.

Nothing makes me chuckle more than the fact that Trump tower is the most beautiful building on the Chicago skyline. Enjoy the view!

We are staying at the Loews downtown tomorrow night and going to catch a drink on Trump terrace in the evening

What is this? The 6 Degrees of Trump? These people are trying to drink and eat and enjoy a ballgame. None of them GAF about your favorite skyscraper.

Grab some pizza while you are there. Chicago pizza doesn't get enough love

Possibly a dumb question but can you buy it by the slice? Seems like you would have to buy a whole pie.

Skip deep dish pizza
Go to Miller's Pub and Portillos for great hot dogs

Wrigley is great if you get rid of all the Cubs fans

I like to do Murphy's Bleachers for a traditional Wrigleyville experience, you can bring kids into certain areas...at least I brought my nephews there so I think you still can.
I typically don't go with kids so I may not be the best person to give you advice, but my nephews loved Murphy's.
109 good seats. Wrigley is the centerpiece. Even with some of the modern changes they've made the history still oozes from every pore. You will love it, I always do and everyone I've always brought has too and I've been probably to 80 or more games there.

Most decent places in Chicago will have pizza by the slice.
And Murphy's sucks. Unless you enjoy loud, obnoxious places where you can't move and it takes forever to order a drink.
Enjoy the dump. I might head down there today myself.

Except it’s not.

Miller’s Pub is good, but I always tell visitors to get out of The Loop and explore bars within Chicago’s neighborhoods, many of which have Chicago dogs. Immediate thought for a good beer and dog would be Bangers & Lace in Wicker Park.

Bavettes
One of my favorite places. Everything is amazing there.
To the OP, Murphy's is legendary. You should stroll Clark from waveland south and hit a few places along the way. Lots of options and fun to be had. We were just at the new Happy Camper last night, which has an awesome outdoor space and great "scenery".
