The only good thing about arrogant baseball pricks is that they produce studs who entertain me in my mlb watching. Otherwise they are fricking douche bags and worth nada

I’m not well-versed on how good the different youth organizations are, but you always seem to see either South Lake Charles or Lafayette in the LL regional tournaments.

That 3rd baseman’s name was Homie Rasada ( not sure the spelling). He hit like 30 HRs his junior year. Got drafted outta HS but gambled on juco where I heard he developed a lil weed problem.
Someone told me they started a new class that taught English which allowed him to come there.
They did recruit heavily. But when the assistant coach moved to Zachary a lot went with him. Von Rosenberger was one.

As much as they get, his two sons are the best players he has ever had.

He had Wade Leblanc and Joe Lawrence, both that played in more games in the MLB than the Cecchini boys combined.

You aren’t wrong. They got a kid from Venezuela to move to LC and drop bombs my senior year.

I went to Barbe, but ran track. Coach is a good guy and he loves baseball. I can remember watching Austin Nagle hit bombs while we watched the games from the bed of a pickup truck. Shite, Nagle hit a bomb to win the 2000 championship in New Iberia. I also remember the Popeye’s buffet in New Iberia.

He teaches special education. He has his quirks also, but he and his wife are good people.

It's a self fulfilling prophecy. Barbe is great, and great kids in the area find a way to go to school there. There is no real private school threat because Barbe is a perfectly good school all around too.

They do what they do. It’s a constant pressure that most HS teams can’t take. They crowd the plate, get HBP, then proceed to steal/bunt their way around. He always has a bunch of antics that distract and gets into the other team’s head. You have to put the blinders on and run your race against them. You must have a special catcher as well because they’re going to pressure him from the first pitch to the last.
