That was a poorly executed stoppage, but not a bad stoppage. Nover was hurt badly and when he went face first into the mat, the stoppage was clearly warranted. Had Lavigne simply stopped it right there (with decisiveness), people wouldn't have been complaining nearly as much. The bottom line is that Kyle was absolutely dominating Nover. You don't see that kind of explosive power everyday. He used to throw guys guys around like that all the time in local shows, but it's just sick to see him doing it to someone as talented as Nover.

exactly. he was one more landed right hand away from really hurting Nover. Watch that last right before the stop. If Lavigne doesn't interfere that's trouble....b/c Nover had no idea what was coming.

Kbeezy is pretty awesome with all of those rules and a referee around.

But I really think if it were just he and I, I'd give him a good ol' fashioned Atchafalaya Basin arse whoopin'.

Nothing personal Kyle. I'd buy you a beer and cup of soup afterwards.

Well, it was questionable. Personally, I would have waited to see Kyle's next big punch. I'm just saying stopping it wasn't unreasonable. As mentioned before, had Eves stepped in and been decisive it wouldn't have been so questionable.

Kyle can't control what the referee does. Lavigne needs to be suspended. After the 96 screw up and then this, Lavigne obviously puts too much thought into stopping a fight.

Here he made a bad decision, pulled Kyle away, realized his screw up, and tried to let them continue. He needed to just stop it and if he screwed up, he screwed up. There's no need to create controversy because he's unsure what to do.

Congrats to Kyle though for the win.

BTW, Kyle that sucks they were booing brah. Probably hard not to think about it a little, but did a great job. Not to mention, you have just the type of style that these same people that were booing WANT TO SEE. Good luck

kbeezy isn't your average internet badass. He's a badass badass.

Oh and that fight stoppage was legit.

When that rainmaker in the first gif landed square in his grille, the fight was basically over.

I am pretty sure that's not why he had his hands out.

"WTF are you doing? You just ended the fight!" Would be my guess.

Lavigne is an idiot, but he is a byproduct of the push to over protect the fighters. They need to allow more decisive finishes, instead of trying to jump in as soon as someone might be hurt.

I have no explanation for the Sell/Brown debacle.

any way in hell someone in Anderson Silva's weight class could break the Thai clench in the same manner Bradley dumped Nover?

If Forrest Griffin can't get out of his clinch at 101 I don't see any Middleweight doing it.

apparently Im the only person in the world who breaks the thai clinch like that, and I do it with such regularity, that sparring partners dont bother anymore.

And Ive done it to bigger guys, with alot of skill. Like alan belcher. Put him on his butt too a few times in the gym when he tried to throw knees
