There is almost no doubt in my mind that multiple series will be hampered by key players being out with the virus which will ultimately put an asterisk on whoever wins the title this year

Same rules for everyone. It is not going to be any tougher or easier.

No sir. We already said this would be the most impressive title of brons career if he wins it.

Tbt it would be the most impressive title of any players career who wins it. Even kawhi. This would certainly be more impressive than the version of GSW that he beat last year.

nope. every team has to deal with the same factors as all the other teams just like every other year.

Absolutely. It's any team's to lose basically. With Covid spreading, no telling who will be out for 2 weeks at a time. If LeBron gets it? Done. If Zion gets it? Done. Teams like Denver, Boston, and Milwaukee can run the table. But what if Giannis gets it? Done. So much up in the air, there's no telling what can happen.

No, it doesn't make it any different because all of the teams are equally at disadvantage.
If a 1 vs 4 matchup in the 2nd round goes to a game 7, there is a clear advantage for the 4 seed and a clear disadvantage for the 1 seed.

4 out of 7 home games is better than 7 neutral cite games

7 neutral site games is better than 3 out of 7 home games

There are most certainly advantages for certain teams.

Hard sell.

No travel, plenty of rest and a month to prep.

This is THE asterisk year, even if The Zineup destroys the league.

If you’re running a marathon then take a 4 month long break then resume said marathon, it is objectively easier to finish.

If it easier to finish especially if you are kawhi and have sat out 1/3 of the season. It is like you started on mile 8 after everyone else started at the beginning. There is no head start for kawhi this year.

Level playing field this year.

There is a level playing field every year. Nothing prevents others using load management. Every team plays for 8 months. Injuries and fatigue are a part of the race to the title.

The NBA is a grind, now it’s a leisurely stroll.

Yeah, but you're running vs other people who had the same break. A break only makes it easier for top teams if their competition doesn't get it.

Giannis's point is that it's harder to beat a rested team at full strength, and that's all your competition.

Add in that homecourt no longer exists and this year is probably the hardest ever for a top team.

Some players have too much dog in them to load manage.

we are talking about what this title does for the individual players legacies.

All players on the same footing.

No super teams.
No kawhi missing 1/3 of the season.
Everyone rested.

It’s definitely true. Whomever wins this should be celebrated, but rival fans will do their best to discredit it.

Not necessarily. There are “82 game players” and “16 game players” knowing the right pace to keep is a large part of winning the title. It’s now a sprint, not a marathon.

Now, the grind has been eliminated.

As far as home court, sure. But travel has been eliminated. So I believe that will cancel it out.

That doesn't mean it's less competitive. If anything, I think that's more competitive in that you get everyone's best.

How is it easier if all the competitors you're trying to beat also get a 4 month break?
