the hawks had the most time off possible and way more than normal since they didnt even play in the bubble, plus a shortened season, and still had a ton of injury issues.

Don’t really understand what they could mean by “severe” ACL injury unless they’re referring to other ligaments in the knee potentially being torn. A torn ACL is a torn ACL.

So you are saying bron won 4 championships with a lesser offense than what harden had?

Harden was the leader of four offenses better than bron but none resulted in a championship

Almost like Lebrun makes players around him better?

Almost too easy boom

Yes. Sort every offense from one to one thousand. You will find 4 harden-lead offenses before you find the first one w bron. Heck even harden with Eric Gordon as his #2 ranked higher than ANY offense bron has played on.

JH is just the better offensive player both in the individual and team concepts.

By playing a 72 game season in 4.5 months when the players only had a two month break with shortened training camps

Normally its 82 games in 6 months following a 3.5 month break

You dont see how that would increase injuries?

If you only consider the injury issue and completely ignore the financial impacts your point might make sense.

In the real world, not so much.

Who gives a care?

Look at the crap teams that are gonna win a title this year. It doesn’t mean they are better than the teams who didn’t win a title.

In the real world both your points can be true.

Shortened season has been a direct cause of increased injuries. The NBA & players association choose financial considerations over injuries.

That's an assumption you are making.

Furthermore, assuming the significant injuries to superstar players (the only thing that really matters) is related to the schedule is an even bigger assumption.

Still, it may not be a bad decision due to the financial issues. There are people in this thread who think that pointing out there are more injuries proves the NBA fricked up. It's too simple an analysis by people who think simply.

Well if you look at some of these injuries individually, Giannis got hurt because of landing weird, Trae stepped on a ref's foot, AD has always been made of glass, Lebron got rolled into by Solo Hill. There have been several of these that have just been freak accidents.

Thats you looking at “some of them”. The totality of injuries being up at all time highs isn’t a coincidence. The nba playing an almost full season on short rest was a no brainer this would happen, and they didn’t care

I don't think a single person would care if those freak injuries didn't happen knocking out some of the best players.

MoneyG,

True I don’t have a lot of data points to prove my theory.

I also don’t view their choice as a negative or positive thing. Just what they had to do in messed up year.

Look at the list of the players with soft tissue injuries. The only one that doesn't have an extensive injury history is Harden.
Harden's brain tissue has been soft for about a decade now. Especially soft during clutch time.
