Got it sorry didnt pick up on it.
To be clear, I don't have any dislike for FSU, I live not too far away and think its a great school.
I just think the list of schools that can fire a coach with a $50-70M buyout and rehire tag is really short, not completely sure Bama is on it to be honest.

Just looked it up, looks like $800k per month or ~$10M/year through 2031.
Painful but maybe approachable depending on how upset the boosters are.
Still have to hire a new guy on top of that which depending on who you're looking at is where it really starts to add up.
Even if you bring in a G5 guy you're still talking $5-7M which means your annual coaching comp is well north of the highest paid coaches in the country, think right now top of the market is something like $13M/year?

No clue where they go but most of the athletic dept needs to be cleaned out.
Alford thought there would be a true salary cap and pissed off a lot of coaches

and you gotta pay top dollar for coaching staff and you still gotta pay players. not a great situation to be in
