I’m sure they’d love to fire him but they don’t have $70M to fire him and hire the next guy so the AD is getting fired to placate the fans.

Yep, new AD to make the hire. See ya never Alford. One Mike down, one to go.

I could see that. Especially if they’re trying to navigate a move to the SEC

When you're already saddled with one of the worst contracts in college football, the best thing to do is bring in the guy that authored two of the other worst contracts in college football.

We didn’t think LSU would pull the trigger on firing Brian Kelly last year either with his massive buyout either. I think almost everyone was shocked when they actually fired him after that A&M embarassment.
Wonder if FSU is ready to do the same if Norvell gets blown out by Bama this weekend.

LSU has a billionaire all in on helping you to win.
FSU has nothing close to that.

How do you know that? Their endowment is over one billion and they have a large alumni base and several wealthy athletes who are playing pro sports.

Todd Graves isn’t even in the top 25 of LSU donors. He does a good bit with RC through NIL.

Is she buying players in NIL? Is she cutting a check for $50M to buyout Norvell?
If not it doesn’t matter.
Same situation as Auburn with Tim Cook.

He'll be fired and the buyout is not a lump sum
