Imagine his stats had he played another three years.

Frank Gore is a better RB than Emmitt Smith was.

Curtis Martin with more yards than Adrian Peterson in 2 less years is nuts. Martin low key had one of the greatest 10 year spans at RB.

You are forgetting AD didn’t play basically for 2 years.

Being so durable for that long as an RB is a measure of greatness. The average RB has maybe 1 or 2 good years at most and flames out.

I'm a Niner fan and Gore will always be one of my all time favorite players but he doesn't deserve to be in the HoF. You cannot only have one season regarded as Top 5 in your position (2006, All-Pro second team) and stake that kind of claim. Hall of consistently Very Good, but not Fame.
If he's ever going to get in, it also needs to come after Patrick Willis, the inverse: 6 All-Pro teams (5 1st, 1 2nd) in his 7 full seasons. THAT is HoF greatness.

Every single player in the NFL including the kickers won the genetic lottery .

He tore both of his ACLs while at Miami.

And yet he shouldn’t sniff the Hall of Fame

While hella impressive that durability doesn't make him HoF-worthy. He was only elite for but a brief speck of time - the great majority of it spent much closer to Top 10 at his position.

Only took him a month to get those 134 yards. How very Frank Gore of him.
