I didn't think Quinn was a total disaster in the booth, but overall, this is the most yawn-worthy lineup they could've put together for a "run" at Gameday.

And replacing Wannstedt in the studio is a mistake IMO. He's 100x more entertaining than Urban will ever be.

One fact is that fox WONT have some depressing, try hard piece by Tom Rinaldi every single week. So that is one thing they have going for them.

Why make a run at a show that jumped the shark at least 10 years ago?

They should have sold out to get Les Miles in the Corso role.

I don't know how Fox's college coverage is so bad when their NFL coverage is the best.

Screw it.

Brett, Ron Franklin, a couple of random co-eds, Vegas Runner, and Bobby Petrino. A college football show focusing on the teams, the cheerleaders, the tailgating, and the gambling.

That... that... might beat Gameday.

You might be on to something here. Need to combine the kookiness of a younger Corso with old school NFL on CBS straight up gambling takes, add in some college settings and give us all what we want. Analysis, entertainment, co-eds, and all the gambling info we can handle. I want to know if Ball State is going to hit the over against Toledo.

I actually enjoyed watching fox for pregame. Wandstedt was good and I like Joel Klatt. ESPN pretty much sucks so I always tune to fs1. Maybe they'll bring my girl Kristine Leahy over.

If Fox really wanted to make a run at it, they'd get their Sunday NFL crew to pull double duty.

That'd be awesome.

Brady Quinn...

I was watching a game with a buddy last year at a bar and Quinn was one of the guys in the booth.

I've state here millions of times that I mute my TV when watching college sports. Since I was at a bar, I couldn't.

Anyway, Quinn did a great job in the booth. Unbiased and called the game very well. Focused on the two teams playing and didn't use the format to pump up the darlings.

If FOX can get these guys not to be homers, they can compete.

Either way, Gameday will still dictate the playoff picture as ESPN literally owns the sport.

Lack of resources and attention. NFL games are on the broadcast network. Most of the Fox college stuff is stuck on low-watched, back of the lineup cable channels that get regional reach or low national coverage.

ESPN2/ESPNU/SEC Network all have more carriage, better games, and more eyeballs than any of the Fox cable stations.

I think putting a show on the broadcast network will help, just need to give it the proper resources. It would help if they had some decent games that started right after the show ends.
