track safety personnel, that's the norm, and frankly most of them are not very good.

I find this directly correlates to how much the track is used. More popular tracks that have lots of events, track days, etc have better crews because they’re more experienced.

Hamilton should have had to give the place back on lap 1just like Max was forced to twice last week. I'm guessing Toto is ok with that tho

I agree.

Many of these F1 tracks are not used much other than one weekend a year. In comparison, Road America has stuff going every weekend spring to fall. And that includes some pretty big events.

What’s done is done… RB had a better strategy mid-race and luck on their side. Merc screwed Hamilton by denying him tires at least twice when he asked.

Hell of a year, I for one am glad to see a new face as champion. Didn’t have to be Max, but he was the lesser of two evils.

Next year I’ll be pulling for McClaren and Lando… hopefully new regs bring parity to the sport.

Same applies here. You can't say what would have happened because it didn't happen.

That is the crux of it.

I gotta be honest, while I would do it I guess, I would hate to be in the racing profession arguing to the FIA the race should have ended under a SC. That really is the only argument since there is no mandated red flag.

In the end, if the accident had happened a lap earlier or the marshalls cleared the car quicker (it was a rather slow clearing). It seemed fitting this year's win was based on luck no matter who owns the WDC in January.

Couldn’t agree more. Hope Lando takes the next step and we also get a Ferrari resurgence.

Gonna be interesting to see how many teams were investing in 22 car development vs trying to fight for tenths on the 21 platform. I think we might see some big gaps in performance in early 22.

Haas, Alfa, Alpine are all running last years car. Even Merc only invested in minor upgrades.

Lando and Riccardio are both very likeable drivers, but Daniel is now in his 30's and likely seen his best days as an F1 driver, in spite of his Italian GP win earlier this year.

As a new fan, what is the reason they even allow pit stops/tire changes during safety cars and red flags?

How ridiculous would it be to see Alfa roll out a baller 22 car with VB. It’s probably not gonna happen but would make for some funny shite.

Stewards with the common sense… yes Max may have been ahead bc of Ham sandbagging, but stepped back prior to safety car exit and race resuming
