Never thought I’d be hyped about a F1 race but here I am. NASCAR better take notes

I could see Mclaren being the pack leader next year.

Pack leaders behind Mercedes and Red Bull, or pack leaders of the entire grid? If it is the latter, what makes you think that? I'd obviously welcome that, but I just don't see it happening.

Mclaren sink a ton of money into the team and that is what it takes to win F1. They have the facilities and knowhow.

Mclaren have been on a slow but steady improvement tragectory. They also have two drivers that probably have what it takes to win it all.

I'm not banking on them, but it wouldn't be some big surprise to see them continue their improvements and be in the top tier of teams.

Two less chicanes, so faster times would be expected.

They're both gamesmen... Play the game but don't doubt they have a beer together occasionally.

For those that haven't watched FP2, I won't give spoilers but a few points:

Latifi's side pod completely cracked when rear jackman cranked down.

At 36 minute mark, they show a full flying lap from Alonso via helmet cam. This is one of the most intriguing pieces of footage I've seen in F1 this year and is a must see. Everything he does in the cockpit is amazing. If I can find a link, I'll edit my post and link. (The twilight video on formula1.com is not the same on broadcast)

The new line for turns 12, 13 and 14 (at the hotel) is going to cause problems. I wouldn't be surprised with red flags during both qualifying and race day.

Track limits are going to dominate qualifying.

Bottas tagged the hell out of that wall. As well as another driver.

Not sure if it is related, but Bottas will take a new gearbox.

Vegas starting to move off Ham and towards Max a little after FP2. Not sure what the catalyst is but might be some money to be made on Ham if this continues.
