quote:so this is for a different incident and not the Gasly/Mazepin incidents.
Hamilton summoned to the stewards for not respecting double waved yellow flags in FP3
The precedent is there for a grid penalty.
Max got penalty for double yellows in Qatar. There were nothing on his dash or on lights. In this case, even the lights were showing double yellow.

Now they saying Lewis summoned for two separate issues.
One for the double yellow and the other for impeding Mazepin.

Hamilton Onboard video of incident
is that board white or yellow? Will be interesting to see the decision, which I'm sure FIA will take their sweet time.
Lewis has 2 reprimands, so if it gets a 3rd for this, it will be a 10 place grid penalty.

I wonder if they will treat a FP3 double yellow violation differently than a qualifying session violation.

That Ham/Maz incident was scary looking. Could have been real bad. Props toMaz on the reflexes.

More precedent - last year in Turkey Norris got a 5-place grid drop for not respecting double yellows in FP1.

Hamilton fricked Gasley and Maz… had Maz rear ended Ham, championship would have likely been done. Don’t see how they would have got Hams car rebuilt for quali

Look after the board, end of the wall on the right, there is a white flag waving

Called it yesterday morning, there will be red flags in quali and the race…. Course is too fast and too tight.
Sucks bc it could put an asterisk on whomever wins the championship if Ham or Max are involved

Just watched a vid of a Hamilton lap and frankly I'm surprised F1 gave approval for this track design. Very high speeds with minimal runoff.
Not saying I don't like the track. Just saying it doesn't really seem to fit what F1 wants for safety.

Yep. The impedeing during FP doesn't mean much. Reprimand or warning. During quali it could change the title.

Good for championship competition, bad for consistency

The official decision even has to call back to incidents earlier this year.
Horner going to have a field day with his responses

"Accidentally" -
The reasoning was that a yellow flag is a yellow flag after Qatar.
