I don't mind the sprints. I do think they should award points down to P5. 5,4,3,2,1.

It's particularly messed up because Hamilton will have the option to run his new engine in quali and the sprint, but not have to take the penalty until the race.
Because somehow that makes sense.

Haas may not have engines but I don't think that will negatively impact their performance this weekend.

Yeah, he has the opportunity to score a couple points in the sprint, but what would you do differently? Double dip the penalty in both the sprint and GP? Enforcing the penalty on the sprint instead of the race would probably be a better outcome for HAM, assuming he is able to get some overtakes in the sprint.

The sprints are so convoluted as to what they are. Points paying qualifying to see who starts on pole, but wasn't the fastest qualifier.
Sprints are gimmicky just like reverse grids.

They would get to run the new engine in quali or a normal weekend.
They should make him start from the back of the sprint.

I hate this Sprint bullshite…. So lets say Hamilton gets pole here, he gets his 3 points tomorrow, then his 5 grid penalty for Sunday. Now Verstappan starts 2/3 for the sprint and gets tanked by Bottas.

Not sure why everyone doesnt take a new ICE with these sprint races. Since there is no penalty for the Sprint
