I hate this Sprint bullshite…. So lets say Hamilton gets pole here, he gets his 3 points tomorrow, then his 5 grid penalty for Sunday. Now Verstappan starts 2/3 for the sprint and gets tanked by Bottas.

This sprint format has its place and it’s good for disrupting teams functionality.

Max clutch again grabbing the front row. Now Lewis has to race him for those points.

I’m confused. They Lewis said he was taking the penalty tomorrow. Does he take the grid penalty on the sprint or the race? Or both?

Max has said he doesn’t like being on pole. They’re all open about being 3rd is best. But then there can be disasters at the start of the race your more easy to be knocked out

It’s a grid penalty on the race, not the sprint race

Max drag races like Dom Toretto. He'll probably beat Lewis at the start like he usually does.

After the first flying lap in Q3, Lazenby said "It's Mercedes-Red Bull-Mercedes-Red bull. And Gasly"

Just intermittently deliver their cargo late if the goal is to distrupt how the teams function.

Lewis thinks he is taking the penalty tomorrow.

Even said Max would be starting from pole.

Lewis holds the record as the only two time Speed King.

HAM's car referred to the Stewards...per Crofty's twitter, this could be a back of the grid or pit lane start penalty if the regs were broken.

Pretty big revelation. Wonder how much wider it was or if it was a broken element.

Does this mean DSQ for sprint race or for race race.

Crofty doesn't seem to think it is a DSQ...not sure if it will affect his position for the sprint, but will definitely move him to the back or pit lane for the GP (assuming he isn't successful with an appeal).

Here’s the FIA Document relating to a potential breach of the regulations for Lewis Hamilton’s car during qualifying. This could be a back of the grid or pit lane start if the technical regulations have been broken

And as soon as I posted that, he posted this...so who knows...

And when I say “back of the grid or pit lane start” my understanding is that it would be for The Sprint (Saturday) as qualifying today forms the grid for The Sprint not for the Grand Prix (Sunday)

So he's looking at possibly a pit lane start or back of the grid start, in which he'll be trying to work his way as far forward as possible, only to have to serve a 5 place grid penalty for the new ICE on Sunday.

Lewis may be about to have a shite weekend

Obviously the pit lane start would be a killer, but luckily for him whatever penalty they get for cheating will be for the sprint race and not the main race. Also, GET IN THERE LEWIS!!! GO SEE THE STEWARDS!

That's what it looks like but there are some that still think a DSQ is on the table.
