I watched the video of the Saudi track and my first though was, "who is gonna' be the driver that gets fricked up by those concrete blocks around those lamp posts?"

Second thought was, "There's no way this is ready in time."

I also wonder if Seb and Lando and crew are going to be parading around with rainbow helmets and stickers.

I'll be real curious to see if we start hearing some rumors in the next week or so about this race happening or not. My only thought is they quickly complete the circuit and paddock area and maybe don't worry about a full capacity crowd for this year? Or even fans at all? I believe they've already sold tickets. Who knows.

Just from what I can see from the video...
The paddock area is incomplete
The circuit itself still needs to be paved
There's no barriers anywhere around the track yet

By my count teams should start moving in gear in about 25 days at the most.

Surprised how dusty it was. Figured they would have had sweepers on the track before.

Also not sure I have ever seen a VSC in free practice

Hamilton could catch a penalty for cutting across the grass. Would be a little surprising for a penalty in FP1.

FP2 being scheduled for 4pm-5pm is going to insure that I get absolutely NOTHING done for the rest of this day.

danke

Not a fan of the matte red on the Ferrari's. They look like they are dirty out on track.

Only caught parts of the practices but in the second heard something about Hamilton. It happy with car performance? Any info? Potential for him to take the engine he will need based off of that?

Hamilton isnt ever happy. So dont take much from that. Especially if it was a radio message they played on ESPN.

Mercedes needs to fix their engine issues because the race will be super boring.

Eh, the engine is probably fine. They had a hard task with the aero this year and did an alright job, order was too tall to overcome.

Will Checo's practice pace carry over to qualifying? Fastest time in FP3.
