Merc must be doing some crazy shite to his engines. Whatever upgrade, if any; Lewis gets will be based on data from Bottas.

I wonder if its already in, because Bottas just tore up P1... If it isn't WTH are you with how he just showed and if it is, why would you be running it so hard in practice or quali when you are going to be last anyway?

I doubt anyone is running their race engine in Friday practice. These are all old engines. Even FP2 probably won't have their race engines. Turn them up and see what they have left in them.
The running thought is Merc is muling Bottas' for data this year and next. Running different modes and such. Bottas' season is pretty much spoken for. He should be able to lock 3rd and Merc seems to feel pretty safe in the constructors with Perez still struggling.

I'm here. Super crowded for a Friday. Shuttle took a long time getting in. No idea what tomorrow and Sunday will look like but plan on leaving earlier than you think you need to.

That’s awesome. We have a parking pass so hopefully we’ll be able to get in ok. The app has a ton of activities listed for the weekend, but I’m definitely prepared for a lot of walking.

We did it today, they make you sign a waiver and give you a little test drive around a little track with sand and water snd a big arse metal hill thing.

Ended up at a gluten free, dairy free, no nut, liberal arse place. shite had butter on the menu, but was some sort of daisy leaf butter. Not a single girl with a booty in the place.
Made reservations a few blocks away while sitting there eating. Eating wagyu and drinking tequila to make up for it.

Shows 4pm on ESPN News. Probably on that channel because it’s taking place during all the football games today, I told my wife it feels weird not catching F1 content at 7am.

We are here. We have a parking pass near turn 11. Walked in just as P1 was underway. I don’t know what was more impressive, watching them accelerate or how quickly they brake. We walked the bridge over the track during P2 and that’s about as close to the car you can get. The whole bridge feels like it vibrates when they pass under. Pictures and video do not do it justice.
It is hot. We opted not to stay for 21 pilots so as not to burn out on day one. Staying for Billy Joel tonight.
I love how diverse the crowd is in terms of teams snd drivers they support. They are selling a ton of merch.
