Every race they make it a point to say how many world championship winners are stuck in the midfield.

I think those will be the ones to take the risks. Alonso, Vettel, Raikonnen.

I could def see giovinazzi/ricardo/sianz taking a shot.

Those guys go full send while red bull/mercedes just try not to wreck each other.

Yeah, I think P5-P15 are sending it tomorrow - I hope.

The Sprint thing is a ratings gimmick. So, there's a qualifying mini-race, but there's also qualifying for that? Yeah, it's just another event to sell ads for.

Also, another perspective: it’s more competitive F1 racing.

That replay of the start was crazy. Did Hamilton even try?

From the in-car view they're using video game graphics, putting the name and number above the car in front. I haven't seen that before.

I'm afraid this qualifying race format is going to be very popular with the fans.

Will Max ever lose another race? Seems like a DNF is the field’s only chance.

So the pole winner is not the guy who finished first in Q3.

Does Hamilton get a point for fastest lap?

Nope, only points for P1-P3.

This is a weird circus with the bus and the wreath.

Great Saturday crowd though.

Lol this interview setup is killing me. I enjoyed that Sprint. I’d actually like to see them do a 5 lap or something small where it’s just an all out battle.

I’m not so certain I like it, seems like it cheapens qualifying a bit, gives guys that screwed qualifying a chance to redeem themselves and could end up being a mess for others, looking at you Perez. Also seems to maybe be a bit of a spoiler to how the race will go.

I’ll give it another chance to maybe sway me but I like the current format that sort of leans as a buildup to Sunday. Casually watching practices on Friday and Saturday morning, the excitement of quali on Saturday, and the race on Sunday.
