Yeah i agree, just like those three times the panthers were down 10 + this year, he folded like a tent, and i specifically remember being down 24-0 to Saban's Bama team and Cam throwin in the towel.. What a loser.

I see two equally compelling arguments that do explain the Cam inconsistency:
1.The Broncos defense harassed Cam Newton so much that they made him gun-shy when it came to a situation where he might get hit.
2. Demarcus Ware going for a loose ball is scarier than the Atlanta Falcons defense.
Honestly, it's a coin flip to me.

Did you miss Cam Newton literally throw a fit when he didn't get a flag on Sunday?
I've seen Brees lower his shoulder, very idiotically, against multiple defenders when his team needed a first down in a pretty meaningless game compared to the Super Bowl.
And let's not forget how he played through 2 pretty significant injuries this year, one that causes a lot of pain.

For the record I always thought Cam was super tough and strong.
I think that makes it even more about his poor character that a man that strong and tough CHOSE to let a ball lie there while his team lost.

Not sure it was a conscious choice. something in his head said don't go for the ball. DANGER. DANGER. Kinda like when someone takes a swing at you and you flinch. Doesn't make someone soft or poor character or whatever if they flinch when someone swings at them would it? No of course not. It's the brain making a split second decision wth self preservation In mind. Not a reflection on character obviously.

Who were the teams they were down by 10 points to? Teams that did not have a strong defense like the Broncos. All day Sunday Cam was frustrated. When he is winning, he wants to be seen. When he is losing, he wants to go suck on his momma titty like a little baby. Wants refs to throw flags because he was hit. Doesn't go after a fumble when the SB is still in play and for him to be a hero. He is a little bitch. Always has been and always will be. It is all about him on the field. Not his team. Who gives a frick what happened in the Bama game. We talking about now in the NFL. If you want to talk about the Bama game, Bama let that game get away from them. If they did not have to settle for a field goal, they would have been up 28-0 and game would be different. Cam will never change. For as gifted as he is, I feel that is a shame.
