Less and less kids are playing. Once the talent level drops (could be a decade or more away) the quality will go down. Slowly leading to a drop in ratings.

This. But probably a bit longer. NFL will be fine for awhile. The game is certainly less interesting than it was 15 years ago, but Fantasy Football and gambling have given it a big wave to ride.

So did the rating go down from the previous year on each game or not?

The peak ratings were higher than the previous year. The ratings as an average went down from the previous year.

The point is that it doesn't prove that the NFL is becoming less popular.

Did rating go down, yes or no? In both games

I've already answered the question. The article answered the question and gave an explanation for it.

It isn't difficult

As always in these NFL-related threads, the minority sure are vocal.

Thursday night football ratings were bad, but they still beat every thing else.

The NFL won't be the same in 20 years. I agree with the waning talent pool. It'll take a while to take effect, but it's coming.

No you didn't you continue to side step the question by mentioning the "peak" times. But you have no answered the actual question if the ratings went down.

I feel sorry for the people who are so upset about how it's changed a little they totally gave up on it. I'm enjoying it for what it is, entertainment. What better do you have to do on a Sunday? Not watching to tell people how you don't watch now is pretty pathetic

For the first time in my life I stopped watching NFL games (other than Saints) last year. I find most of it to be boring. I still love college though.

Since you're terrible at reading comprehension:

Yes, the ratings went down. The article explains why and says that more people actually tuned in at its peak. I guess it was that difficult for you.

Too bad it doesn't indicate what you think it does. Stick to your guns though

That would be an interesting chat, if it weren't for the fact that Sunday night football is the most watched TV show every week

Not in the US. That is a laughable statement.

Football is so fricking far ahead that it is preposterous.
