Remember during Bowden's tenure when Cowen would paint himself green for games and people thought this but he didn't actually care.

you don't spend 2 mil on a coach

There's talk that they could do this. They haven't actually done it though. I'll believe when I see it.

is footballscoop.com based out of the Baton Rouge area?

the reason I ask is:

Local radio today again spent most of the time talking about Frank Wilson when they talked Tulane.

I think the guy from Arkansas would be a much better head coach candidate

Tulane should contact Burton Burns from Alabama.

I'm sure they will. Not sure I want him though, he's pretty old and as far as I can tell has never even been an offensive coordinator. I know he's a great recruiter, but those guys dont seem to pan out as head coaches.

Garrick McGee was one of the guys we were looking at last year. One name that hasn't been mentioned that could probably work for you guys is Bryan Harsin. He was with Boise through their rise to prominence and is now the OC for Texas.

Yeah, I'd feel great if we got Harsin.

Probably so, but he's most likely not going to be their next head coach and if Tulane is really willing to pay $1 million for a coach, then I'd bet Harsin would listen.

McGee wanted too much money for his and asst. Salaries from tulsa and pulled his name out of the running. I am sure that there similar issues at la-lafayette. But the cajuns got the right guy imho ..

cowen is getting really serious about this, I think he is no longer apathetic about tulane football...you don't spend 2 mil on a coach and raise a shitzillion dollars for a stadium unless you're committed to winning

I hope this truly is the case. I would really like to see a competitive program develop at Tulane.
