Agree. While he's beloved by the SJW, the owners want no part of his bullshite.

I mean it's not even just the SJW thing. I hate his politics obviously, but Tebow was basically the same scenario. Mediocre to awful backup QB with a fricking circus following him. No owner worth their salt wants to deal with that mess.

Agreed, and that is why players like Rice, Tebow, Manziel, and Kaep are out of the league.

a backup QB signing should NOT get more publicity than their starting QB.

Ontop of that, a backup QB should NOT get more publicity for stupid stunts they may or may not pull during the season than the team.

Exactly. No team wants a clown attracting undue attention as QB2.

Why isnt everyone worried about RGIII or Jay Cutler before he retired, getting signed. RGIII still doesnt have a team either. Instead the world cries for this guy....for some reason.

I'll answer, because Robert is a black Republican who only dates Snow Bunnies

I can't believe this! You mean you can't basically say frick America and get paid millions inadvertently by that same American public that represents oppression. I hate it when America oppresses millionaires.

If the Browns weren't stupid enough to assume Osweiler's absurd contract they could've signed Kap to ensure stability at the QB position, they run the same offensive scheme he thrived under with Harbaugh and he's an obviously better running threat.

They took the Osweiler contract because they had mountains of cap space and got a 2nd round draft pick for doing so.

Kaepernick would not be well received by a lot of people in this area. Local radio shows absolutely destroyed him (and rightfully so) when he started kneeling.

Well they're gonna suck bigly anyway with a statue pocket QB who can't even achieve an 80+ passer rating as a full-time starter so apparently my point's stronger than yours considering Kap's career passer rating average playing within that system so the jokes on the Browns yet again. Anymore condescending bullshiit?

What did I say that was even remotely close to "condescending bullshite"?

Well, their deliberate decision to assume this contract was BULLSHIIT and that Colin opted out before Brock was traded and that Cleveland pulled the trigger on that when they could've used that cap space for a Super Bowl advancing-capable QB in a WEST COAST OFFENSE makes zero sense. Another moronic decision by the bottom-feeder Browns.

You can argue Kap is better. I would argue that they are both pretty terrible, but like someone explained above the Browns got a 2nd round pick to pick up Osweiler's contract. They are going to suck with either so why would they pay Kap along with Osweiler ignoring the PR stuff they have to deal with? The best players aren't signed all the time this is no different with strictly football ops logic behind it.
