But both of my fantasy teams are 2-0

Another factor people fail to consider on this board is that your interests wane as you age.

A lot of things you used to like probably have become less interesting.

I love both but the play is down in both leagues, no matter how you CFB fans try to argue it. CFB was boring this past weekend.

CFB and NFL both over pursued the almighty $$ so much to the point that there's actually an oversaturization of football.

Yet I still like college football, or at least it doesn't bore me as much.

A lot of people on here probably like it less than they used to.

Too many flags. I don't know if teams are more undisciplined or refs are taking things way too literally. Ruining the flow of the game. There's also new rules showing up yearly.

MNF has sucked ever since ESPN took over. SNF is where it's at now.

Maybe it's over saturation or maybe it's the fact that both of my teams suck.

The constant talk about fantasy crap has really diluted it for me. I can rarely sit back and enjoy a game without someone in the vicinity wanting to tell me how if the backup TE gets 2 more catches or the defense scoops and scores he could win his matchup. For whatever reason, I hate fantasy football. I guess its because I've bet on games for years and fantasy seems like a whole lot more work for less payout.

for me its because the flags in both CFB and NFL are getting out of hand. Its getting as bad as basketball watching a foul call on every trip down the floor.. You literally have to hold your breathe on every good play or TD because 8/10 times there is gonna be a flag on the field. I'm getting really tired of seeing flags on every 2nd or 3rd play.

I would say it's because there's basically no parity.. In the NFL you've got the same few teams, New England, Dallas, Atlanta, Green Bay, and Denver and Pittsburgh maybe in that category.. In college it's the same, Alabama, Clemson, Oklahoma.. Everybody knows this going into the season and the other teams and fans are just left like

Also the increased penalties and rule changes are really bringing the quality of the game down. Seems like there's a flag on every play. Ejecting good players during games ruins them. And of course there's always a few teams that get the extra help from the refs.

All of that combined and it just sucks.

You talk about no parity and then mention the Falcons?

2013: 4-12
2014: 6-10
2015: 8-8
2016: 11-5

Perennial heavyweights huh?

Not sure what 2013-2015 have to do with the conversation. Are they not expected to be one of the best teams in the NFC again this year and for the foreseeable future? Got it.

Do you know what parity means? They had one good year and are expected to do well this year.

You're basing your parity argument on what an NFL team is going to do in the future? That's some silly shite.

Without looking I wondered who was on MNF this week: Giants, Cowboys, or Packers. It's the Cowboys.

Not sure what a team's recent past has to do with a parity argument.

Couple years ago he would have used the Cardinals and Panthers to prove that there's no parity.

Teams on top stay on top in the NFL.

It'd be easier/more honest for people to just admit that they like CFB over the NFL (or vice versa) for completely arbitrary, nebulous reasons. The End

College football has more spirit, pageantry and atmosphere. It's often more exciting because games feature more explosive plays and more scoring.

That being said, anyone arguing it is a better football product than the NFL is just wrong. The NFL features the best college players mastering a professional craft. Everything is crisper and of higher quality in the NFL. People talk about NFL QB play, but dozens of major college football teams have high school level QB play. Most college defenses and OLs are terrible.

If we're talking about the quality of the football itself, the NFL is far superior. I do enjoy CFB more though.
