FSU and Clemson both need to jump ship.

Whether they both go to the SEC or one goes Big 10.

There’s only 2 Power conferences left for football and if you think you are ‘big time’ and your name isn’t Notre Dame, you better be in one of them

So...SEC?

Do we have to take Clemson to keep the numbers even?

Who else would we want?

FSU is wishing for a SEC invite.. Wonder what the SEC is going to do now.. They did not want the invite in 90/91

Maybe UNC, but I don't think UVA is that big of a draw for us.

UNC & FSU would be nice - if just to screw Clemson.

Not SEC but I legit think I might would rather have UNC over poor lil' Clemson, for multiple reasons but mostly I want a more compelling basketball conference. The SEC already has a South Carolina team, take the opportunity to expand into an area without a presence. Also they aren't a fourth Tigers mascot. Unfortunately I don't think UNC will leave Duke.

Hahaha...this is true.

The SEC, home of all the Tigers!

Clemson brings nothing. The SEC already has South Carolina. Florida is a more populous state and thus bigger market share.

You can watch the board meeting if you want. I don't know the levels of your degeneracy when it comes to football news, I didn't watch it, just let reporters watch and tell me later what was said.

Its a brand

Geographic areas dont really matter. You want brands.

Well this simply isn't true at all. I'm also not convinced Clemson is all that for the future, they are down now. I don't know what next year brings, but doesn't look amazingly great IMO. Dabo leaves for bama or elsewhere and they could easily drop well out of the top 25 for awhile.

Their brand is not very strong. UNC is a much stronger brand imo

I stand by UNC and Duke…..

Football is the SEC sport.

Baseball is the SEC sport.

Adding Duke and UNC….the SEC would now have Duke, UNC and Kentucky in the same conference. While also adding Texas who has good years. Tennessee who has good runs. Let’s just be a big three sports power house.

lolwut?

You want programs that add to the conference, bring a strong fanbase, and offer a market that you don't have that strong of a hold on - which UNC would do nicely.

Clemson, outside of the last few years, was never anything more than a regional brand.

This is going to lead to conferences asking, why do we have Vandy, Rutgers, Northwestern, etc. in here getting the same share? Guess it’ll be the Super League in a few years and the rest as a feeder league
