Correct, and once they had 5 goals they probably had plenty. We are talking soccer here... 5 goals is more than many teams will score in their group stage. They had plenty and again, I said celebrations should have quit once it became an embarrassing score.

What do you mean by this?
I’m by no means saying they should be paid the same
But the 2018 men’s World Cup had games on Fox Sports 1 as well

So just assume 5 goals is good? Then pass it around the team and humiliate them even more? I can tell you’ve never played sports at a competitive level.
It’s not that uncommon for 5 goals to be scored. Not to mention what if they get shutout next game? I don’t think you get how it all works.
As far as celebrating - I’ve never scored a goal in a World Cup so I’m not gonna pretend to know what kind of emotions that evokes so I’ll refrain from judging.

Apparently you are struggling at comprehension.

Care to elaborate?
These women made it to the highest level in their sport. Not s single one of them got there because they have empathy towards their opponents. Quite the opposite: they want to make every single opponent look stupid as frick. It’s what it takes to even have a chance of reaching that level.

I'm still trying to figure out if you are just dumb, retarded, or both. I've stated my opinion multiple times and you haven't been able to understand it yet.
Let me type it once more, I don't have a problem with them scoring goals.
Doesn't it needed to be stated again for you to actually understand or will you focus on something that was never typed again?

Yes you had no problem with the first 5, just the ones after that.

Yup, apparently just stupid

bullshite. No team of mine allows Megan Rapinoe to wear the uniform.

Imagine if we literally passed the ball back and forth for 30+ minutes so we didn't hurt anybody's feelings!
I'd like to think that you're more astute of a fan than this. Megan Rapinoe scored the 9th goal in the 79th minute. The. 79th. fricking. Minute. What in the ever loving frick is she even doing on the field at that point in an 8-0 game? And they scored two goals in stoppage time. You can certainly give your reserves a helluva lot more minutes. 20 field players and three keepers on the roster.
Again, as others have said, it wasn't merely the scoring, but the fricking choreographed celebrations. And you can blame part of that on the NFL. It used to not even be a thing.

It highlights that there are not even 24 competitive countries in the world that play WOMEN'S soccer.
fify.

You can only make 3 subs a match so that’s why you don’t just pull the starters

So that's a change FIFA can make if they have issues with it.

They had already used up all their subs
By the 69th (nice)

Women’s soccer? About as relevant as a bowling team

This is the WORLD CUP we are talking about!! The entire point in group stage is to literally win and score as many points as possible. Also, for many of these players, this is a lifetime goal of theirs. You are going to sit there and tell me that you wouldn't celebrate scoring a goal in your first World Cup appearance? Again, this isn't an American problem, this is a "Thailand had no business being in the World Cup" problem. Blame the score on FIFA for putting Thailand in the World Cup. I don't blame these girls for celebrating after scoring their first ever World Cup goal one bit! The next match is against Chile (another remarkably undeserving nation) . If i was the coach, i would tell my team to not only win this game, but try and score 15 and cheer for each other even more.

I don't blame the USA team for RUTS. Sweden can beat Thailand by 15, so we need the goal differential in case we tie Sweden.
Also, it's not the USA's fault that they expanded the field and let teams like Thailand in. In the old format, Thailand would not have qualified. But it's the world's biggest stage for these women. It would be disrespectful for them to play conservative, so screw that.

One more thing, i don't disagree with you on Rapinoe. I too wish she wasn't representing our country on the world stage. Having said that, my love for country FAR out weighs cheering against them because of 1 person.

Yeah, you're supposed to be the #1 team in the World playing some scrub team...show some class.
I mean Germany wouldn't be dancing around if they scored 13 goals against some US college team.
