Well China has something like a BILLION more people that the US, so yeah that's obviously a more important market for them.

Which means the question really is, how much more would viewers have gone up had the US qualified?

Scripted celebrations against a bunch of semi pro players is amateur hour.

This is my only issue. Beating a team by double digits yet still doing a power slide then leg kicks from your back when you score is indefensible. If you are supporting that behavior you're a piece of shite.

I’m proud they ran up the score.

It's fine to run up the score on them but the excessive celebrating up 9+ - 0 against a team that never had ANY chance of winning is just embarrassing.

Imagine the healthy Golden State Warriors playing Rutgers and acting like they won the NBA Finals when they win by 100. What are you even celebrating at that point?

So you rather them sit back and pass it around for 45 mins?

IMO that’s much more disrespectful

When I played (which is HS varsity not saying I’m this college player) Id rather get boat raced than teams call off the dogs.

I said in my post they would have been increasingly more viewers if the US made it
I was just saying it wasn’t as if the World Cup was hurting

But based on the last two world cups i guess we could go by this figure

Games on Fox have averaged 1.98 million viewers, compared with 3.55 million on ESPN in 2014.

So take out a player for celebrating a goal
They just got into your head. And won

You're being a bit dramatic.

I kind of think the celebrating by them was a slight troll job
A lot of criticism in the media.

Put up 13, and rub it all over everyone’s faces

Why shouldn’t they celebrate? What a soft country we live in.

Exactly. Passing that ball around an incompetent opponent who has no chance of gaining possession is much more humiliating for the opponent.

Comparatively speaking they are much better then the men’s and they want comparable compensation. The men make almost 3 times as much as they do which I agree is wrong but the men’s game in general brings in more revenue. We can’t even watch all women’s World Cup games on a normal station.

Keep scoring, quit celebrating, nothing to celebrate when you're up 10-0 in soccer. Just padding stats at that point.
