Interested to see what they do at the deadline. Think you need to move Ozuna, Iglesias, and Montero.

Why stop with these 3? I wonder what we could still get for Acuna. Too bad he has had the 2 knee injuries. That has had to diminish his trade value. Is he still the one player that we could get enough back to help rebuild our farm system? I wish AA would be dismissed also. I would not want him in charge of our rebuild

They’ll do the Braves thing and hire Weiss, make minor tweaks to the roster next year (another meddling short stop, middle reliever) and just hope that everyone comes back healthy.

Likely

The Braves high end outcomes have always been contingent on guys with small success sample sizes replicating that success once discovered. Sometimes that's with signing long term deals with young talent based on minimal (but positive) evidence, sometimes it's running it back with some journeyman who thrived in a short window.

Which may be the best model for a team with our constraints, in fairness. But it does get frustrating and it's very predictable that you'll get burned at times.

No reason to trade an MVP in the prime of his career. The broken farm likely just produced the rookie of the year.

What you are watching today is a wonderful illustration of why it is time to blow this MF up. Acuna gets the most back, ship him off. Olson gets the most back ship him off.

Maybe you haven't given up (and I wouldn't know why) but I have. Time to start completely over from top to bottom. I won't live long enough to see this franchise back in the World Series again but I might live long enough to see them on an ascension to another WS.

Finally, remember the 2025 season as the one we finished in the fricking cellar. Go Nationals! Get on a roll! You are only 3.5 games behind the horseshite Braves

Yikes.

Sending the best player in the game away for what?
Blow it up, sure, but he isn't an option imo. He IS the franchise now.

Whch means he'll probably be traded to the Marlins tomorrow for the ghost of Dan Uggla and Jeff Conine

Its where the Braves are right now, plus he is damaged goods. I say strike before he gets another season ending injury

Bring back Bobby

Bobby looked old 25 years ago. I’m glad, but shocked he still with us.

Him waddling out to home plate to mother frick the umpire as the first thing out of his mouth will forever be seared in my brain

Kind of crazy how emotional some of you get. The braves could legitimately be in the World Series next year

It’s baseball, they’ve been terrible this year

It’s time for a different voice but a baseball manager doesn’t have near the power he used. Lineups and the pitching map out for a particular game usually has tons of input from FO and analytics guys.

Trading Acuna would be a criminal offense.
However, how can anyone watch this team over the past 2 years and think next year will be different?

Oh, I forgot. It's all the injuries.

And is currently ranked 29th by MLB, which would be fine if the players the farm graduated was producing.

But obviously, it's not.

So currently, you have an expensive core that is currently fourth in the NL East and farm that is bereft of immediate talent.

They haven't hit since the Phillies took their manhood from them in 2023. We're going on two years of awful offense now.

But what has he done lately that has catapulted the Braves to a top tier record in the NL East.....with or without him WE SUCK. So lets trade our horseshite players and get horseshite in return? Maybe we should just do that and get back just a different set of losers.

I will give you this though, as long as AssholeToupolous is in charge of trading anybody, let just stay pat for now. When we get a new Trader John in the front office that's a different story
