That's cuz he got the axe. So did Granato. They all started on 610 and got the boot. Charlie Palillo too. But yeah, John Lopez is worthless and Rich Lord is turning into a curmudgeon Jeff Garlin look alike.
I've always listened to 610 but am afraid to make the switch to 790 or 1560 b/c I just don't know the hosts on the other channels, I listen to Rome when I can, and the John McClain segments are always informative. I've gotten to have lunch with him a couple times and he's got so many stories about the NFL and movies it's insane.

I activated TigerJohn for his last day...
TigerJohn, if you are reading this, farewell and good luck in Houston. I just wished you would have promoted TD.com on air as much as you promoted your show on this site. That was my only beef with you.

Keep the basketball pics coming. One of me will pop up in there. I played Josh my sophomore year...he hit a 3 and ran down the floor taunting our crowd.
Needless to say we won and after a few airballs Scooby was benched and our student section had punished him heartily.

Granato was the bell cow for 610 in the morning. He brought in more sponsors and ad revenue than anyone else at the station. Their show was the best morning show in town for like ll years. They were continually handcuffed by the "corporate pile of dung" on what they could run on the air. Granato got in a dispute with them over money he felt he was owed for generating add revenue (sponsor $$). They didn't want to pay him. He sued them for breach of contract and left the station. He had been working behind the scenes with David Gow and others to start a new station from scratch. He did just that.
His buddy Zeirline was still under contract with 610 for a few months, but the plan was always for him to leave and follow Granato to 1560. They ultimately got in a dispute over money for a new contract and they esentially paid Zeirline not to be on the air and the settlement kept him off the air for about 6 months before he popped up on 1560.
If you think 610 "canned" them, you are naive and don't know anything about the situation. They have continually kicked 610's arse since they hit stride at 1560.
Why do you think there has been such a shuffling of the deck chairs at 610 this past year??

Pallilo wasn't fired, his contract was up and he took a big pay increase to join 790. 610 did everything they could to keep him from leaving, even suing under the claim that he had agreed to a contract extension.
I don't know when the last time I listened to 610 was and I'm sure Dickie Rosenfeld would be none to pleased at what has happened to his station. That said, Josh should feel right at home with all the other no talent host that they have.
