I’m inviting Mel Kiper to our draft this year so he can melt as he doesn’t get drafted

Despite his major botching of the pre-draft process, I think he's going to be a steal in dynasty leagues.

I don't think you understand how Fantasy Football works. To be a steal, you have to assume the player is a bona fide starter. To assume Sanders will be a bona fide starter is idiotic at best. Even if he works himself in some playing time, that will take weeks to happen, if not months, years. Can't draft someone like that...he's not a running back.

The only way someone should take a flyer on Shadeur is if they're in a 20+ team league. And even then only as bench fodder

Even in a 32-team keeper league he would be seen only as bench fodder.

Side note: 32-team keeper leagues are a full-time job.

His biggest negative is he’s an entitled douche. That’s not easily corrected and doesn’t transition well to the NFL.

The ball doesn’t care who’s throwing it

And let’s be honest, the Browns being who they are, Shedeur will get a shot.

As others have pointed out, the fact that he sits 4th on the Browns depth chart probably won’t help his fantasy projections.

Deshaun Watson - Injured and will likely not play at all in 2025
Joe Flacco - Opening day starter
Kenny Pickett - Not an NFL QB and will be behind both RC's or dropped as soon as they get any meaningful snaps
Dillon Gabriel - 100% will be in competition vs Shadeur for the backup role. He was a 3rd round QB and people are acting like he has a spot above Shadeur locked in.

Everyone knows what Joe Flacco is. A few weeks in after Flacco proves he's still Flacco, whoever wins the Gabriel/Sanders backup battle will be starting.

I understand exactly how dynasty leagues in fantasy football work.

In the context of a dynasty league draft (of rookies only and under contract theoretically forever), Sanders is going to go late-late if at all depending on how few rounds there are. His competition in Cleveland are fossils, has-beens and never were's.

I'm no fan of his antics but his potential is through the roof as a late round QB, especially with the way the Browns are stacking weapons.

I mean Joe Flacco can't play for ever but I don't see Gabriel or Sanders having any QB1 reps in season as "the guy" for a couple years or more, at least.

The Browns have 5 QBs on their roster, after trading Dorian Thompson-Robinson(drafted #140 pick in 2023) with a 5th round pick for Pickett

The Browns have graded or used the following picks on a QB:

2022 1st round pick (trade) & 4th round pick (trade)
2023 1st round pick (trade)& 3rd round pick & 5th round (Robinson)
2024 1st round pick (trade) & 4th round pick (trade)
2025 3rd round pick (Gabriel) & 5th round pick (trade) & 5th round pick (Sanders) & 6th round (trade) & 7th round (trade)

Yet, Joe Flacco is their likely opening day starter and they are probably drafting a QB next year.

The reporter is one of those knuckleheads who is making super bowl reservations after watching 10 minutes of practice. Remember the clowns on Airline Hwy after watching Ditka's first practice with the Saints? Probably a distant cousin. Shimmel shorts and Super Bowl!
