According to my calendar, it’s September. Not one of these games matter. None of them. All the top teams are still right there waiting for playoff spots. These teams will be different in 3 months when it actually matters. If I’m the SEC, I look around and realize UGA and possibly LSU are the real Natty contenders. The rest are Miami, Ohio St, and maybe a few others. But 3 months is a long time to get there.

I would say the Oregon loss definitely matters- they lose one more with a bad loss like today and they are out of the playoff

True, but we know it. Many fans still believe these wins in September mean anything, GT can win the ACC and get an auto bid so we are no different than Ole Miss or Tennessee. The difference is we are a 6 loss team and they are 4 loss teams. Big whoop when all are playing pre-Christmas bowl games.
