Even if it's a retractable roof.

MLB teams are filthy rich. They can afford to build a retractable roof in order to avoid rainouts.

My team had a domed stadium and currently has a stadium with a retractable roof that it only opens for college games and to let grass grow during the day. I like both of those stadiums.

But baseball is meant to be played outdoors.

They can leave the roof open in most games. But they should be required to at least have a retractable roof in order to avoid rainouts.

The game has been fine for 150 years with the elements and rainouts. It’s fine the way it is.

150 year traditions aren't a good reason to refuse to adopt a better practice that's now available in 2025.

Yeah, retractable roofs weren't available in 1875. That's not a good reason to refuse to build roofs in 2025.

If you or anyone else puts a roof over Wrigley Field I will personally hunt you down and pull your toenails out with pliers and make you eat them while your eyeballs are spooned out of your head.

Believe the newest stadium is Globe Life Field which cost $1.2B. City of Arlington contributed 500M. Cobb County and the Cumberland Community Improvement District paid for half of Trust Park. My point: not just teams pay for these stadiums

They need to renovate or move, that place is old and way overrated.

I can’t imagine the Dodgers or Padres agreeing with this.

Factoid for you- There have been 17 rainouts at Dodger Stadium since it opened 63 years ago.

The Astrodome had a rainout once. Street flooding.

You are not educated on the subject. The 1060 project was a half billion dollar renovation, it was completed in 2019. More renovations in the surrounding area are being down now as well.

Yep. That might spark a Civil War. That would be a reason to go.

I'd also fight you over Fenway Park. Wrigley and Fenway are icons.

We do a very good job in this country of tearing down our history in the name of "progress". Some things are fine the way they are.

I said roofs would only be required on new stadiums. The Cubs wouldn’t be required to put a roof over their stadium unless they move from Wrigley.
