Actually it was worse, they ran from any public association with trump whenever asked. Pretty cowardly and cuckish after all that posturing.
The fact that supporting the eventual democratically elected President made people think they might hurt their brand is sad. People's blind hate for Trump is hilarious. The funny thing is most people liked him when he was on the other side donating to Clinton.

And people wonder why everyone is abandoning ESPN.

Fwiw, Stephen A Smith just said the exact opposite on Mike and Mike. He said black people don't want to be lumped into the same category with the criminals and shitty people among them, so they should give the same courtesy to the people of Boston. There are racists in the stands, but it's a small minority, and we shouldn't paint with such a broad brush.

Isn't that kind of like saying all black people are thieves, or they all like to steal
Or all Mexicans are murderers and rapists.
Big blanket of "racism" all the way around

Stephen A. is a reasonable guy who it wouldn't shock me if he had conservative leanings. Michael A. Smith is trying too hard to appease ESPN's urban audience.

He's an interesting fellow. I think he'd be a good drinking buddy.

IIRC he was one of the first black talking heads sports media or not to say he wouldn't be lock step behind Obama just because he was black.

Michael Smith has always come off as a "Cornball Brother" to me. Maybe he's trying to get some street cred.
Did I say that right?

There isn't one. It's just an object. If you throw it while calling him an n-word, then it becomes racist.

frick this dude. He doesn't know real racism. Wanna see a racist city? Go read up on Birmingham in the 1960's.

No I definitely think people of different opinions and beliefs should be friends.
I think this one is different though. Trump just isn't "different beliefs"

Dude Hilary and trump aren't comparable and that's was one of the dumbest and most dense analysis' of the 2016 election.
And I say this considering all of her faults

That's fricking golden coming from the TD spokesperson of the same group that supports Alton Sterling and Gravy Chambers
Divise because they challenge your beliefs and consistently call others out for blatant hypocripsy? Because they kept their foot and the throat of the search for justice?
TD, the same community the God honestly believes that unity = keeping black leople pissed offed
Or unity = blaming "race relations" on everyone but themselves

He's not exactly wrong. I find it funny that the other thread was titled "Breaking News: Boston is racist". As if, the city of Boston lives in vacuum on this specific topic. Perfect example, in San Francisco a fan threw a banana at a MLB player. But the majority of the country would label SF as a "liberals playground".

Did something happen on ESPN? Wouldn't know, I watch NBCSN.

LeBatards intelligence
I've never been impressed by LeBatard's intelligence. Like Cowherd, he just calls the caller/tweeter dumb, the crew plays the 'You're that guy!' sounder, and everyone pats themselves on the back.

I didn't vote for him but why the blind hate. Dude isn't a racist and there is zero proof to say he is.

That boy is being generous ... and right..but Boston has a huge race problem.
What's even worse is that there were hundreds of cowards around the perp that did nothing about his actions. Sounds like just a regular occurrence to many of them
