He will probably have at least a couple of offers, I would think.

I'm getting a little annoyed by all these sportswriters on twitter telling us we are terrible for being cruel and wishing some people get fired.
This is the same people who write articles and get on national TV to talk about coaches 'hot seat rankings' and why they should or shouldn't be fired...

Honestly, I'm surprised Dilfer survived 2014. That was fricking brutal to call out the Patriots and Brady like that only to get it smooshed in his face after.

Good point.

Like I said earlier, she's a provocateur that that's why she's featured prominently. Her talent is getting under people's skin.
And like I said, if that is her talent, why wasn't she featured prominently sooner?
Perhaps she crafted her shtick over the years to put her where she's at today, but if you believe she's just being herself, then that makes it feel even more forced.

Most of these people are not 'huge' names, how much do you think they were really making? Are these cuts really going to help ESPN at all?

I'm actually pretty shocked Daney Kanell and Brett McMurphy got let go.
Now it's time for the SEC to let Missouri go.

No, they won't even make a dent. This is some kind of streamlining move I bet to pivot to the way they do business.
They are moving away from "journalism" and beat writers, etc, and moving strictly to entertainment. Drastically reducing the website local team imprint. Reducing the amount of SportsCenter anchors because they will probably add more "personality" shows and less highlights.

These cuts seem nominal at best. when you're talking billions of dollars and a giant shortfall due to overpaying for TV deals and losing millions of subscribers, cutting a few beat writers and personalities seems silly. I know with Jim Nantz I read he made like $7M/yr, I dont even think most of the people cut today were even over $200k/year if that. Just seems like a good excuse to trim some fat off but these cuts are not boosting the bottom line bc of millions of subscribers fleeing.

Sorry if already posted but how ironic Danny Kanell was the only one on Twitter not praising ESPN?
Everyone else praised ESPN. But maybe he spoke his truth and said no thanks to the bonus about kind words only out the door? Kudos if so

ESPN previously had no shortage of guys that could rankle listeners.
10 years ago when she started up we had the full allotment of the old ATH crew, SAS, Colin, and Skip. She really only ascended to this prominent role over the past year or so when most of those guys had moved on.
