I can't tolerate ESPN radio anymore. I'm hooked on Mad Dog now. On SiriusXM.

I'm sure Bomani Jones and his try-hard self will still be around with his shite radio show.

Yep. I said it months ago. ESPN has completely gone with the McDonald's principle. Cater 100% to the African american market. It may make sense. I havent looked at the numbers, but it could be that white people have figured out how to work the cord-cutting system, and black people are still tuned into basic cable.

Jemele Hill & Smith are safe, right? I can't listen to her. Who'll be Golic's new partner? And does ESPN really think that Mike Greenberg is really that good? Greeny is about as wormy as they come.

Does anyone still use the shitty ESPN website?

Russillo probably won't be on the radio much longer. I mean if his role is being "greatly reduced" and Kanell is out, what's that supposed to mean other than the show is basically over?

Russillo should be the type of person they're building ESPN around. This is a frustrating day.

ESPN doesnt get that part of the reason for this is pissing off their main audience, now theyre laying off their main audience. ESPN deserves whats coming.

Maybe He/She Jenner can fill some of the void left with appropriate ESPN material now

That's actually an interesting theory.

Still seems like they'd try to revamp their business model instead of becoming the BET of sports, though.

This is just a post with facts. 29 people have been revealed to be laid off today, not including Buccigross, Russillo, or Hannah Storm.

26 are male, 3 are female. 2 are African-American, 1 is Latino.

7 were Conference reporters. 4 were reporters for cities and/or specific teams.

ETA: 2 more were fired since I wrote the post, one was a Pac 12 reporter

I understand layoffs happen. I will not fault ESPN for that. But they have handled it with ZERO class.

Ching's melt during LSU Basketball's melt against NC State in the tournament two years ago is one of the better melts-within-a-melt I've ever seen.
