re: ESPN Layoffs Begin - ZERO On-Air Talent

So because they don't report on it no one cares? No one knows because it wasn't given any attention. Espn reported the shite out of Michael Bennet's race baiting lies but said nothing when the truth came out. By that logic, no one cared about Bennett right? Or did no one care that he lied because his lies didn't confirm their world view?

I could explain it 30 different ways and you still wouldn't get it. You have it set in your mind that Baker Mayfield got all of this negative attention because ESPN just hates whitey, not because of who he is and how controversial he is.
Like I said, you distort reality to fit your perception of the truth.
It's becoming more and more common these days.
As Forrest Gump would say, that's all I have to say about that.

First off, WHAT THE frick IS GOING ON IN HERE?
Second, am I the only one who is perplexed by how much run the dick grab got?
It's one thing to score a TD in the NFL and start peeing on stuff.
But telling someone to suck your dick while on your own sideline is literaly nothing, IMO.

That's my whole point. Other team doesn't shake his hand, he grabs his dick, ESPN loses their minds. Calls for him to be benched and lectures the audience a week later on how Baker Mayfield's behavior is a slap in the face to competitors across the country. They said that verbatim. Player on ESPN the night before does something far worse - crickets.

These are everyday working class people getting fired while the millionaire talent is untouched. I doubt the graphics guy is putting his "liberal agenda" in the broadcasts.
Without knowing more, that would be what I would think too. The millionaire liberals aren't losing their jobs.

When will Kirk Herbstreit get fired?

If you don't like ESPN, don't watch it, man.
Nice edit. I'm not outraged at anything. I'm discussing a liberal sports network on a message board. And if I did actually keep track of everything that list would be a hell of a lot longer.
Just because you disagree with me doesn't mean I'm "mad" or "outraged" or "omg so petty I can't believe you live like that and keep track of things." I can discuss things without making generalizations about people on the opposite side of an argument.

And don't give me the unranked non power 5 bull shite they were ranked for 10 consecutive weeks this season and the player did it on their own network vs the number 15 ranked team in prime time the night before gameday crucified Mayfield

Shel you are once again defending a network in which an anchor said on air "old white men need to shut up and listen", didn't suspend Jamele Hill for calling the President, his cabinet and his voters white supremacists because the CEO of the company said "we can't understand her feelings, vilified Grayson Allen for weeks for pushing someone in a game, allowed Michael Wilbon to call NFL owners slave masters etc. etc. You think he's "coming on strong" because what he said fits your world view.

Do you really think ESPN as a network, is harsher on black athletes?
Posted on 11/29/17 at 1:23 pm to lsupride87
quote:I'd certainly think this before the absurdity that is there harsher on white athletes. I am 100% certain the media wouldn't treat Gronk the same way if he did all the same things he's ever done but was black. I think that alone is my argument ender. Obviously I can't prove it, but I have no doubt in my mind he wouldn't be as loveable and no one in the media ever really saying a bad thing about him if he were black. He's the perfect example IMO.

Honest question. Why do you still watch ESPN?

Enlighten me then. Did you not quote a post directed at me and say "coming strong!"
Did you not defend ESPN for an entire afternoon about the fake Lebron racist graffiti?

You want ESPN to bring this up daily, weekly to do what, exactly? Just keep repeating themselves?

ESPN should be talking about it every day a few months later with no new evidence or other evidence of any kind really? Is that what you're saying?

No, I consider asking ESPN to STILL be discussing something months later with no new evidence or no real evidence to suggest it's fake to be utterly absurd, that seems logical to me.

Honest answer - because I LOVE college football. I'll watch any game that is broadcast no matter what channel and I'll watch college gameday on Saturday mornings. I don't watch any other programming on ESPN. Everything that I listed IS easily be found out about through ironically this board, twitter, Clay Travis articles, etc.

quote:Yes, I did. The reason is you actually believe race plays more of a factor than it being a Heisman candidate who has had previous issues playing for a CFP team on a all time type school vs the dude who plays for the unranked team that no one really cares about. That's just silly.
Enlighten me then. Did you not quote a post directed at me and say "coming strong!"
quote:Defend, as in state there was no news to report so a report/update wasn't necessary? I did that, yes. Do you think they shoudl provide weekly/monthly updates on a story with no updates? Yea, see my SBWM's post about you having a distorted view of ESPN, you're basically proving his point if that's what you're saying.
