I was there with my dad for the 08 return. 9 years old and I’ve never felt more hate & vitriol for one person in my life. One of the most physical games I remember of LSU in my lifetime

The way Nick left for the NFL was something to be aggravated about. Nick going to Bama was always a stupid reason to be upset about.
He knew he was leaving for the NFL. He was just extracting more in negotiation through the end.
If he would have announced earlier, then Spurrier would have been the LSU coach and may have completely turned the SEC upside down. Also the recruiting class was not good to begin with that year going into him leaving.
