Lou Holtz is hilarious while trying to be serious talking about Mack Brown and Texas during the final verdict.
There’s so much nostalgia in 2000s college football. Thanks for the topic.
Lou Holtz

Hilarious GIF. I’m sure the cleanup crew was pissed cleaning all daffy’s slob off the set.

Yea, I use to watch it . I also watched the Prudential College Football Scoreboard on network TV pre ESPN, if we’re going back in time.

Dave Diles would always give the Slippery Rock score.

Facts. If I only knew what ESPN would turn into….

And I hated Robert Smith. That guy was an absolute clown.

I was stunned last year when Trev Alberts was named AD of Nebraska. I’d completely lost track of him.

I have looked for a long for the video him talking about Ole Miss after the 2003 LSU / Ole Miss game but can't find it. He said something to the effect that He was raised on a farm. On the farm you have pigs and every litter of pigs there is a runt. He said you can loved it give it attention feed it but it will always be a runt. He said this was Ole Miss they were runts, man them people were pissed off

It’s also where I learned all what all the Ivy League schools were.

I was about to post the Ivy scores too. Jim Lampley was the master of that format.

From about the early 2000s through mid-2010s, this show and College Gameday were the Alpha and the Omega of a college football Saturday.

They are still probably the best shows Espn have maybe ever produced.

I miss doctor Lou and Mark May.

If you had a player who had a big game, you were damn sure tuning in to see if he got a helmet sticker from Rece, Holtz or May.

Does anyone else remember / miss this show? It was an hour long highlight show that came on every Saturday after the late night SportsCenter

Uh yeah, it was ESPN.

It wasn't some public access show.

Do you remember it was Trev Alberts before Holtz?

Besides final judgement the ACC wheel is destiny was the best thing they did.

The Final Verdict was, at one point, the most entertaining show/segment in sports programming. It was hilarious to see who lost their case and watching the winner gloat.

Then College Gameday w/signs became must-see tv for a while. Currently, Manningcast/Monday Night Manning is holding the title.

CFF was always better than Gameday. Less fluff. Peak Corso was great but CFF was something you’d put on drunk while eating some god awful concoction you’ve drunk my created.

Absolutely, everyone in here has watched college football final hammered.
