Maybe they should fold then. European soccer does just fine letting players choose.

Good lord these people are retarded

Doesn't this guy know that people in regular jobs get asked to go work in other places all the time? You can go work there or you can quit. Thems usually the rules. Apple could have easily said, "Hey Pera, we need you to move to the Toronto offices for a project" and that would have been that.

Anyway, this is more akin to applying for a job and corporate gives you an acceptance call for a job in BFE. You can take it or leave it. This again happens all the time.

you're right, it's about LA and NY. Maybe those two teams and their rosters of 100+ players can play each other 82 times in a season. Sounds awesome.

Yep, they do so well that there are hundreds of teams, and the average person has only heard of a handful. A completely unlevel playing field does not make for a competitive league, imo.

That’s what this guy doesn’t get. Zion has already made his choice. He chose the NBA. Those jobs in LA, NY, or NOLA aren’t separate companies, they’re just league offices under the same NBA umbrella.

If someone doesn’t like the destination they’re given they can always choose to fly to Europe, Australia or Asia.

I’m guessing this guy doesn’t approve of the trade deadline ether

The Premier League for example, where 7 teams out of 49 have won the championship in the last 30 years. It's 5 out of 42 in La Liga.

One of the worst ideas from ESPN in a while - and that's saying something.

Thing is the nba should just move all teams to California and New York. I understand players want the ability to market themselves so where’s the best 2 places? That’s why you have to have a draft! So stupid because he won’t be playing for them.

If I were his boss and he came to me with that idea for an article, I’d fire him for being so fricking stupid

My first job was not in a city I wanted to live in, but I went where the career opportunities were.

These guys become .1 percenters working a job that is largely acquired just by genetic makeup, isn’t violent, doesn’t even require much effort until the postseason, and contributes nothing to society.

No one should feel sorry for them.

There isn’t a single talented person in this country that can’t find multiple opportunities to work in various cities and states.

The nba player had no choice where he works coming out of college. Outside of taking a job in the minor leagues or overseas.

The other poster is closer to reality. That they choose to wok for the nba. But even then, in the real world, a top 30 grad IN THE COUNTRY would have their choice of companies. And even if it was a company, let’s say IBM, they could pick their choice of many locales.
