Eli or Stafford?

Was arguing with a buddy today about who you would rather have as your QB as of now and for the next three years. Given the current knowledge you have to the two which would you prefer?

Eli for now. He doesn't get injured and he's great on the road.

Eli
Stafford is a chubby fatass.

Agreed with Eli...he kept throwing stats out there but can't be sold on Stafford after one year...not to mention Calvin Johnson will make any QB in the league seem better then they are.

I'd have to go Eli. Now, if ask me this question, this time next year, I may say Stafford. If Stafford can put up similar numbers next year, to what he put up this year, it would be hard for me to pass on Stafford.

Eli for now and for the next 3 years (he's only 31 right now).
He's already proven himself on the biggest of stages (might be doing so again in a few weeks) & plays in a media spotlight 1000 times tougher than what Stafford does and still doesn't crack.

Stafford
More yard, better completion %, more TDs, higher QB rating, more mobile.
Stafford had a 41/16 TD/INT. Eli was at 29/16. Stafford does have Calvin Johnson so that helps, but Cruz/Nicks/Manningham is a sick receiving group. Stafford is only 23 so if he stays healthy the sky is the limit. When Eli was 23 he was on close to getting benched. Eli pretty much hit his peak this year and Stafford still had a better season.

For the next 3 years: Eli.

This is the correct answer. Stop getting caught up in the moment folks.

Nah, Eli is the obvious answer. Stafford has had a lot of shoulder injuries. If their performances are fairly similar, then give me the one who is more likely to stay healthy.

"the moment" as in being super clutch in the 4th?
The future seems brighter for stafford, but elis proven that he can lead a team to the promised land.

Lulz. He has had 1 shoulder surgery, which took place in 2010. And is was a result of being slammed into the turf. It's not like he had Tommy John, it was a freaking AC joint. Seemed to hold up in 2011.
Give me Stafford all day. He's 23 and already had a year that would be Eli's career year. Wait until the Lion's build a team around him like the Giant's had a chance to do.
Eli has played 8 years in the NFL. 5 of them were Joe Flacco-esque. Average. The last 3 were top 10 QB years. And people want to crown him

Yep. I expect this for the next three years as well.
I really do not give a frick how good he was in his first five years. He is a consistent top 10 QB at this point in his career.
