He may not have been walking down the interstate. He could have been standing near his car waiting for AAA or whatever. Accidents like this happen plenty

Why would a person, like Haskins, be walking on the interstate at 7 a.m. on a Saturday morning? I can understand if he had vehicle trouble, but I can't understand why a person like him wouldn't use his cell phone and wait to the side, away from harm's way.

Gimme a freaking break .

There are a million scenarios that could have transpired to have him needing to walk on the interstate… ok, maybe not a million but at least a dozen .. maybe he ran out of gas and decided to walk to whatever exit he just passed to get some gas.. maybe he knew cars and thought he could fix whatever the problem was…. ESPN said (not confirmed) they believe his car and another car hit each other, he pulled over and got out to look at the damage/talk to the other driver, then got hit by a different car.

People make mistakes but it take a special kind of a-hole to tweet that when a simple sentence gets the point across.

Supposedly pulled over and was out of his car. I'm sure we'll find out those details soon.

You phrase this like he was just taking a drunken saunter down an interstate for the funzies

The frick?

Even when someone does nothing wrong and dies we need to evaulate why they are trash that needs to die.

I was definitely critical of Dwayne when he was on Washington because I had high expectations and he was squandering it. But now I kinda feel like a dick with this news, he was way too young and had his whole life ahead of him. All because some souchebag can't drive.

RIP, hope his family comes out of this ok

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal vehicle and pedestrian crash on westbound I-595 at I-95 that occurred around 7 a.m. on Saturday.

The victim was a 24-year-old male pronounced dead on the scene.

Traffic is currently being diverted to southbound Interstate 95 and FHP says to seek alternate routes if possible, to avoid traffic delays. Westbound lanes of I-595 will remain closed during this investigation and all traffic is being diverted to southbound I-95.
